Maria Liakou is a Civil Engineer and Certified Property Valuer of the Ministry of Finance, a Board member of the Association of Greek Valuers, with a career that combines technical knowledge, many years of experience and an active presence in public affairs.

A graduate of the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras, she has practised the profession of Civil Engineer since 1999 and has dedicated the last 15 years to the demanding and highly specialised field of property valuations. Through hundreds of valuations and collaborations with leading bodies and organisations, she has gained deep knowledge of the real estate market and of the factors that determine the true value of a property.

She works steadily with major banking organisations, such as the National Bank of Greece, Alpha Bank and Attica Bank, while in the past she has also worked with Eurobank. At the same time, her professional career in the construction sector includes collaborations with significant business and construction groups, among them J&P AVAX, the Latsis Group and Village Roadshow.

Her activity, however, is not limited only to her professional capacity. With a keen interest in the development of the technical world and the improvement of institutions, she participates actively in scientific, professional and local-government bodies. She is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Greek Valuers and in 2019 served as an elected Member of the Central Representation of the Technical Chamber of Greece.

She has served and continues to serve in important institutional positions, contributing to decision-making concerning urban planning, charitable estates, public administration and local government. At the same time, as a Municipal Councillor and Secretary of the Municipal Council, she remains close to the needs of society and of citizens.
